Sesiones de fotos con Caballos en Arkansas

Hay fotos bonitas…
y luego están las fotos que se sienten especiales desde el momento en que las ves.

Para muchas quinceañeras, tomarse fotos con un caballo elegante siempre ha sido parte de ese sueño. Durante mucho tiempo, muchas familias tenían que viajar hasta Texas para conseguir ese estilo de sesión.

Hace unos cinco años decidimos cambiar eso aquí en Arkansas.

Todo empezó con una amistad.

Mi amigo Ramón, dueño de Rancho El Diamante, siempre ha tenido un amor especial por los caballos. Entre todos ellos hay uno que siempre roba miradas: El Diamante, un caballo negro impresionante que se ha convertido en el protagonista de muchas de nuestras sesiones.

Así fue como comenzó todo.

Poco a poco empezamos a trabajar juntos en sesiones para quinceañeras, bodas y eventos especiales. Lo que empezó como una idea entre amigos se fue convirtiendo en algo que muchas familias comenzaron a buscar.

Hoy en día, la mayoría de nuestras sesiones son para quinceañeras, porque hay algo muy especial en ver a una joven celebrar sus 15 años con la elegancia y presencia de un caballo.

Una sesión especial con Natasha

Para esta sesión tuvimos el gusto de trabajar con Natasha, ganadora de Miss Quince en Arkansas.

La sesión fue muy natural desde el principio. Natasha ya tenía experiencia frente a la cámara, lo que hizo que todo fluyera fácilmente.

Durante la sesión nos contó sobre el día en que hizo sus propias fotos de quinceañera y lo especial que fue para ella tener un caballo como parte de ese momento. Recordar esa experiencia hizo que esta sesión fuera aún más significativa.

Entre su vestuario, el estilo de la sesión y la presencia de El Diamante, cada fotografía capturó algo especial.

Más que una sesión de fotos

Para nosotros, esto no es solo traer un caballo y tomar fotos.

Se trata de crear un momento que las familias recuerden para siempre. Ver la emoción de una quinceañera cuando ve al caballo por primera vez, o escuchar a las familias hablar de lo especial que fue la sesión… eso es lo que realmente hace que este trabajo valga la pena.

También nos llena de orgullo saber que algo que antes muchas familias tenían que buscar en otros estados ahora también existe aquí en Arkansas.

Mirando hacia el futuro

Nuestro objetivo es seguir creciendo y seguir siendo parte de estos momentos tan importantes.

Queremos seguir colaborando con familias, fotógrafos y organizadores de eventos para crear sesiones únicas que capturen recuerdos que durarán toda la vida.

Cindy + Erick

Last November, Cindy married Erick. I’ve known Cindy for 15 to 20 years, closer to 20, and I would say that I know Cindy pretty well. If I could describe Cindy in one word, I would, but I can’t because it takes two words: great friend. She is the kind of friend you do not necessarily have to talk to every day, but you know she is there for you… and… she threw me a surprise birthday party once, so that was really cool!

Erick, on the other hand, I have only known for about three years, plus or minus, and if I could use one word to describe him, it would be comedian. Erick has a great sense of humor, and I do not give that title to just anyone. Usually people do not make me laugh. I think my dark sense of humor might have something to do with it, but Erick was probably a class clown, still is.

With that being said, I think they are perfect for each other, and anyone & everyone who knows them would agree. I am so happy that y’all chose me to do your photos + video, because if I had not been selected, I am pretty sure I would have ended up as one of Cindy’s bridesmaids, or whatever.

Marcelino + Antonia

Marcelino + Antonia: Some couples walk into a photoshoot already knowing how this works. Not because they have done it before, but because they are grounded in who they are and comfortable showing up exactly as themselves. That was Marcelino and Antonia.

From the start, everything felt easy. No stiff moments, no second guessing, no trying to perform for the camera. They moved through the session with a natural confidence that made every frame feel effortless. The kind of confidence that comes from trust, connection, and being fully present with one another.

Marcelino brings a calm steadiness that anchors the room. Antonia has an elegance that feels genuine and unforced. Together, they have a rhythm that does not need direction. They listen to each other, laugh easily, and let moments happen instead of trying to manufacture them.

This session was not about trends or perfect poses. It was about capturing the way they exist together right now. The quiet moments, the laughter between shots, the looks that say more than words ever could.

They are a couple of cuties, and I am genuinely glad I got to cover their wedding. Being there to document this chapter felt meaningful, and it is one I will always be thankful to have been part of.

Nancy & Luis

I don’t write often, but when I do, it’s because a day leaves me with something that lingers—something worth telling. Nancy and Luis gave me one of those days this past Saturday in Lake Village, Arkansas.

During the ceremony, Father Joe said something that landed with everyone in the room. He talked about the bridal party and how he had never seen a group so close-knit. He knew many of them had grown up together, and you could feel that “since-the-teenage-days” kind of bond—strong, unshakable, effortless.

And honestly, I felt a little bit of that familiarity too. Being from Pine Bluff (the southern part of Arkansas), I recognized some of the groomsmen from those pickup soccer games we all played back in our teenage days. I’m pretty sure some of them recognized me as well. Seeing those same faces years later—just a little wiser—gave the whole night this full-circle feeling.

And man… this crew knew how to party. Their celebration wasn’t just about the wedding; it was about friendship, memories, the kind of fun that comes from people who’ve been making each other laugh since they were kids. I don’t usually get the urge to dance while I’m on the job, but they made it hard not to. Watching them get down, a part of me thought, If I were here as a guest, I’d be right there showing off my moves too.

To Nancy and Luis, thank you for having us. And to the people of Lake Village and the surrounding areas—old friends, familiar faces, and the ones who've grown wiser since those teenage days—it was a pleasure seeing you all again.

Cindy + Erick

Cindy + Erick: I’ve known Cindy for more than half of my life. We grew up in the same town, the kind of place where everyone knew each other and the hangout spots were simple but full of memories. Those places don’t exist anymore, but our friendship has stayed strong through it all.

Erick grew up just fifteen minutes south, in an even smaller town. I’ve only known him for a little over two years, yet it feels like I’ve known him forever. In a way, it makes perfect sense—because when you grow up in towns like ours, paths are bound to cross. And theirs did, turning into a small-town love story that feels just right.

Now they’re getting married in another little town an hour south of where I grew up. For me, it’s not just another wedding—it’s a reminder of where I come from, of the people who shaped me, and of the roots that run deep. I’m stoked to cover their wedding, and I know it’s going to be an awesome time.

Fun fact: the very first photo we took, Cindy actually tripped—but the moment turned into pure joy. It looks like they’re having the best time ever, and honestly, that’s the perfect way to describe these two.

Ashley & Allison’s Quince: A Story Told in Two Voices

While editing their photos, I couldn’t tell them apart.

And when I sent the gallery to their mom, she messaged back:
“Wait… which one is which?”

Ashley and Allison are twins in every sense of the word—same smile, same laugh, same energy that seems to bounce between them like light between mirrors. Photographing them felt like chasing one reflection made real twice over.

We started the day getting ready in a quiet, elegant home—one that belonged to a family their aunt works with. The Hickingbottoms were kind enough to let us use the space, and that simple gesture made the morning smooth, calm, and filled with ease.

There’s something about beginning a shoot in a peaceful place that sets the tone. The girls had room to get ready, move around, and share those early moments without chaos.

And through it all, they were inseparable. For most of the day, I truly couldn’t tell who was who. They moved in sync, exchanged the same glances, carried the same quiet confidence.

But by the time of their waltz, the details began to emerge.
One held her gaze a little longer.
The other moved with a softer step.
Tiny moments that, once noticed, couldn’t be unseen.

That’s what made this shoot special. Not just because they’re twins—though that alone is rare for a quince—but because, over time, their individuality began to surface. The photos didn’t just capture symmetry. They revealed subtle differences that told two stories at once.

Ashley and Allison, thank you for letting me be part of your day. What started as a challenge—to tell you apart—became one of my favorite discoveries behind the lens. Frame by frame, you showed up as yourselves.
