5 Reasons to book with Dane Events

Wedding Vendor Recommendation
5 Reasons I Hired Dane Events for My Wedding and Why I Recommend Them to Every Couple I Photograph
I want to be upfront about something before I even get into this post. Dane Events are not just a vendor I recommend. They are friends. People I have known for close to ten years, people who were there during some of the most important seasons of my career, and people who I genuinely trust with the moments that matter most. So when it came time to plan my own wedding, there was no list of vendors to compare, no back and forth, no research needed. I already knew who I was calling. Here is why.
Friendship and Trust
They Have Been in My Corner for a Long Time and the Trust Goes Both Ways
Long before I hired Dane Events for my own wedding, I was watching them work. From early on in my photography career, I was showing up to events they had decorated, pointing my camera at rooms they had transformed, and walking away with some of my best work because the spaces they create give a photographer something real to work with. Over the years, as my business grew and my client base expanded, Dane Events was part of that journey. They believed in what I was building before it was fully built. And that trust has always gone both ways. When it came time for their own wedding day, they called me to be their photographer. That means everything to me. When someone who has seen dozens of photographers at work chooses you to capture the most important day of their life, that is not a business decision. That is friendship. Having them at my own wedding was the same. We have shown up for each other, and that is a relationship I do not take lightly.
Stress Free Experience
They Handle Everything So You Can Actually Enjoy Your Wedding
Wedding planning is a lot. Anyone who tells you otherwise has either never planned one or has already blocked it out. One of the best decisions we made for our own wedding was handing the decor entirely over to Dane Events and trusting them completely. The furniture, the linens, the centerpieces, the ceiling treatments, the lighting. All of it was theirs to manage, and not once did I have to chase them down or worry about whether things would come together. They handle every detail from start to finish so that on the day itself, you are not a coordinator. You are a couple getting married. That kind of stress free experience is worth more than any single decor piece they bring through the door.
Photography and Decor
Great Decor Makes Great Wedding Photos
I am going to say something that I genuinely believe as a photographer who has shot hundreds of weddings. The room matters. A beautifully decorated venue does not just look good to the eye. It transforms what shows up in the camera. The way Dane Events works with lighting, layered textures, intentional color, and thoughtful placement means that every corner of the room is a photograph waiting to happen. Every wedding I have photographed where Dane Events handled the decor, I have come back with images I am proud of. It is not a coincidence. It is the direct result of working with people who understand that every detail contributes to the final picture. Literally.
Vision and Design
They Turn Your Vision Into Something Even Better Than You Imagined
We came to the Dane Events team with our colors, our ideas, our inspiration, and our vision of what we wanted our wedding day to feel like. What they gave us back was all of that and then some. They have an ability to take what is in your head and translate it into a physical space in a way that feels effortless on your end, even though the work behind it is anything but. The details, the cohesion, the way everything flowed together. It exceeded what we had pictured. That is the mark of people who genuinely care about getting it right, not just getting it done.
Consistency and Quality
They Have Never Let Me Down. Not Once.
In close to ten years of watching Dane Events work across venues all over Central Arkansas, I have never seen them miss. Different rooms, different scales, different styles, different budgets. The quality stays the same every single time. That consistency is something I look for in anyone I refer my clients to, because when I put my name behind a recommendation, I need to know that the people I am sending you to are going to show up for you the same way they have shown up for me. Dane Events always has. Every time, without exception.
Your Wedding Day Deserves This
If you are planning your wedding and still figuring out your decor, do yourself a favor and reach out to the Dane Events team. One look at their work and you will understand exactly what I mean.

Quinceañera Photoshoot with a Horse in Arkansas: What to Know Before You Book
There is one thing that takes a quinceañera photoshoot from beautiful to unforgettable: a horse. A calm horse, a full gown, and the right light, and you have something that looks like it came straight out of a telenovela. We are the only photography studio in Arkansas offering a complete horse rental package for photoshoots, and we have been doing it long enough to know exactly what makes these sessions work.
Si estás planeando una sesión de fotos para tu quinceañera con un caballo en Arkansas, esta guía lo cubre todo. What to bring, how to pose, how we keep everything safe, and how to book with us.
What Makes a Horse Shoot Different
Most quinceañera shoots happen in a studio or a park. A horse shoot happens on a ranch, and that changes everything. The setting is more dramatic, the photos are more cinematic, and the experience itself becomes part of the memory. Families tell us their daughters talk about it for years.
You do not need to know how to ride. You do not need to have been around horses before. That is what our Ranchero-trained wrangler is there for. We handle the horse, you focus on looking like royalty.
Two Styles to Choose From
Charro / Hacienda Style
This leans into Mexican and Latin heritage. Think escaramuza-inspired styling, a wide-brimmed hat, boots under the gown, and bold traditional colors. This look is especially powerful for save-the-date shoots or formal portraits that honor where the tradition comes from.
Ranch / Natural Style
Softer and more relaxed. Open fields, natural Arkansas light, weathered wood, and the kind of warm cinematic feel that works with almost any dress color. This style photographs beautifully at golden hour.
You can also do both in one session. Bring the hat and the boots as a second look and we will shoot the formal frames first, then loosen it up for the ranch set.
What to Bring?
The essentials:
- Your dress, steamed and ready
- A clip or two to gather the train when walking on uneven ground
- Crown, jewelry, shoes, and bouquet for detail shots
- Boots and a hat if you want the charro or ranch look
- Comfortable shoes to walk between setups
- Water and a snack. A comfortable quinceañera photographs ten times better than a tired, hungry one
- Touch-up kit: blotting papers, safety pins, lip gloss, and a brush
Good to know:
- Skip loose scarves, balloons, or anything that moves suddenly near the horse
- Go easy on heavy perfume right before you are near the animal
- Mosquito spray if we are shooting near dusk. Arkansas ranches get buggy in the warm months and nobody wants bites in a strapless gown
Poses and Ideas: We Guide Every Frame
No experience with horses required. We direct everything. Here are some of the setups we love most:
Standing beside the horse, one hand on the neck or mane.** The safest and most timeless frame. Gorgeous in vertical with the gown trailing behind.
Forehead to forehead with the horse, eyes closed.** The quiet, tender shot that families always end up framing on the wall.
Full gown fanned out in front of the horse.** Wide horizontal frames that show off the dress and the landscape together. Perfect for banners and album spreads.
Walking the horse by the lead.** Natural movement, storybook feel, great for candid-style frames.
In the saddle.** Only if she is comfortable, and only with our wrangler holding the lead just out of frame.
Detail shots.** Boots in the stirrup, the bouquet resting on the saddle, dust catching the last light of the day.
Pro tip: Do not over-rehearse. The frames that become favorites are usually the ones in between setups. A laugh, a glance, the horse nuzzling her shoulder. We always leave room to catch those.
How We Keep It Safe and Calm
A great horse shoot is a calm horse shoot. Here is how we plan for it:
We only work with horses that are used to people, big dresses, and cameras. Our package includes an on-site Ranchero-trained wrangler who stays with the horse the entire time. You will never see them in the final photos.
Before we start shooting, we give the quinceañera time to meet the horse. A few minutes of saying hello makes a real difference. Horses sense nerves, and that connection shows up in the photos.
We schedule a 90-minute photoshoot with a 1-hour training session included in the package so nothing feels rushed. This is not a quick 20-minute thing. We take our time.
The Ranches We Work With
Not every ranch is set up for a photoshoot. We work exclusively with two of the best in Central Arkansas, and both bring something different to the table.
Rancho El Dorado: Bauxite, Arkansas
Rancho El Dorado is one of the most well-known Latino-owned venues in Central Arkansas. They have a full event venue on the same premises, which means the infrastructure is already there for big days. What makes them stand out for photoshoots is the variety of horses they offer. White, black, brown — you can match the horse to your dress and your vision without settling.
Their trainers come from Mexico and bring with them generations of experience. This is not a weekend hobby operation. These are people who know horses the way a chef knows a kitchen. They host bailes and Mexican concerts regularly, invite ranch owners and riders from across the region to participate in parades, and keep the customs and traditions of charro culture alive in Arkansas. That culture comes through in every shoot we do there.
Rancho El Diamante: Central Arkansas
Rancho El Diamante is the pioneer. They were the first in Arkansas to offer horse rentals for photoshoots, and that experience shows. The operation is run by Ramon and Chalo, a duo who have built a reputation across the community for professionalism and heart.
The star of the ranch is El Diamante himself, the horse the ranch is named after and one of the most recognized horses in the area. El Diamante knows how to work a camera. He does tricks, stays calm with first-timers, and connects naturally with whoever is in front of the lens. One of the things families love most is that they decorate El Diamante to match the dress and the overall vibe of the shoot. Whether you are going full charro or soft and romantic, they make sure the horse fits the story.
When you book a horse session with Tuff Labs, we coordinate directly with both ranches to find the right fit for your vision, your dress, and your date.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to bring a horse?**
No. The horse and wrangler are included in the package. We handle everything on that end.
**Does she have to ride?**
Not at all. Some of our most beautiful shots are taken standing right beside the horse. Riding is always optional.
**How long does the session take?**
Plan for about 2 hours total with the training session included. We do not rush these.
**What if she has never been around horses?**
That is completely fine and honestly very common. The training session at the start is specifically for that. Our wrangler is patient and experienced with first-timers.
**Do you serve areas outside Little Rock?**
Yes. We cover all of Central Arkansas. Travel outside the Central Arkansas area is available for an additional fee.

Cindy + Erick
Last November, Cindy married Erick. I’ve known Cindy for 15 to 20 years, closer to 20, and I would say that I know Cindy pretty well. If I could describe Cindy in one word, I would, but I can’t because it takes two words: great friend. She is the kind of friend you do not necessarily have to talk to every day, but you know she is there for you… and… she threw me a surprise birthday party once, so that was really cool!
Erick, on the other hand, I have only known for about three years, plus or minus, and if I could use one word to describe him, it would be comedian. Erick has a great sense of humor, and I do not give that title to just anyone. Usually people do not make me laugh. I think my dark sense of humor might have something to do with it, but Erick was probably a class clown, still is.
With that being said, I think they are perfect for each other, and anyone & everyone who knows them would agree. I am so happy that y’all chose me to do your photos + video, because if I had not been selected, I am pretty sure I would have ended up as one of Cindy’s bridesmaids, or whatever.
