This special workshop brings together photography, makeup, styling, and Mexican cultural inspiration to create a dramatic Día de Muertos bridal portrait from the ground up.
Led by Juan Valdes of Tuff Labs, photographers will learn the creative process behind transforming an idea into a finished portrait. We’ll explore lighting, posing, composition, storytelling, and subject direction while building a Día de Muertos inspired scene in real time.
Our featured model, Miss Mexico United States, will be transformed with a custom Día de Muertos inspired bridal look created by lead makeup artist Estephany.
Then it’s your turn to photograph it.
You’ll learn how to create dramatic lighting, pose and direct your subject, incorporate cultural details into your composition, develop atmosphere and mood, and photograph the completed Día de Muertos portrait during a dedicated hands-on shooting experience.
